Blake and Maria exchanged vows beside a dark river, surrounded by redwoods and the kind of light that barely reaches the forest floor.
Maria's dress fell across the stones as they moved along the water, and the trees gave the whole day a sense of privacy, even in the open air.

Beneath the redwoods
There was no need to make the setting feel more dramatic than it already was. The scale of the trees, the river, and the softness of the light did enough.

We let the day move slowly and photographed what was already there: the two of them, the dress against the stone, and the quiet of the forest around them.
